Junior Tennis Coaching Sessions

For 5 to 17 year olds

Designed for children aged five to seven years old which enables them to learn the basics of tennis. It encourages them through a series of fun activities based on the fundamental areas of balance, co-ordination, agility, movement and hand-eye coordination. Red tennis takes place on a much smaller tennis court, using shortened tennis rackets (17 –19  inches) and a bigger and slower ball.

Mini Tennis Red (ages 5-7)

Mini tennis Red Advanced (ages 6-8)

This is beginning to look a bit more like the tennis you know; rallies, scoring & induction of the serve . It’s still soft balls and small courts but they’re learning everything they’ll need for the game ahead. Rackets (21 – 23inches).

Orange

Progression from mini red tennis.  Players continue to learn the game as well as learning a range of techniques and tactics. Sessions continue to include lots of movement, co-ordination, speed, balance and agility based games – and of course having fun at the same time!

Orange tennis takes place on a three-quarter length court with an orange ball (a bit softer than normal tennis balls) and shortened tennis rackets (25 inches).

Green Tennis Coaching (ages 9-12)

It’s time to let them loose on real, full-sized courts. Using green  tennis balls which are slightly softer than normal tennis balls, and shortened tennis rackets (26 inch)  This course helps players to further develop the skills that they have learnt throughout the programme and improve on all aspects of their game before moving on to a full compression yellow ball.

Private / Individual Lessons

These are available for children and adults of all ages and levels.
